The 3 commonly seen flags on UK beaches are:
Bathing Flag - on a lifeguarded beach, only swim between the two flags that look like this
Surfing Flag – an area has been marked by use for surfing craft. Avoid for your own safety
Danger Flag – never enter the water when you see this flag
If you see the orange windsock displayed, it indicates offshore wind conditions. You should NEVER use an inflatable when the sock is flying.
