Christmas in Cornwall is a very special time, and in Falmouth we have a full schedule of Christmas activities for all the family! This events page is being constantly updated- below are our listings to date.

Lantern Making Workshop
Venue: Princess Pavilions, Falmouth, Cornwall
9.45am Registration 10.00am start. All day workshop.
Create your own illuminated lantern and be part of Falmouth’s Christmas parade on Thursday 3 December. Construct your willow withy lantern, with guidance from our experienced artist, to hold aloft through the streets. This in an all day workshop and all young children will need to be accompanied by an adult. Limited places available. £5 per lantern.
The Poly’s annual Christmas Market will be running between the 30th November – 24th December (excluding Sundays), from 10.00 a.m. – 7.00 p.m. The market will feature local artisan makers and a range of quality gifts just in
time for Christmas.
Expect singing from Falmouth’s schoolchildren, festivities, and a Lantern Parade arriving on The Moor from Events Square for the Pirate FM Lights Switch On at 7.00pm.
The children’s parade will be accompanied by Father Christmas, who will be touring the town by horse drawn carriage. On The Moor there will be a great selection of Christmas food and drink, with music from 5 local schools, The Salvation Army and Cornwall Rock Choir.
This is the first of our three late night shopping evenings when participating stores in the town will be open up until 8pm.
Come and soak up the festive atmosphere in Old Brewery Yard on Falmouth’s High St from 5pm-late each Thursday of December for late night shopping. There will be everything from handmade goods, hot drinks and festive food, live music, vintage wares, books, records and many more Christmas gift ideas.
Amity Theatre are proud to present their 5th Pantomime, Rapunzel, A Tangled Tale. Tickets £5 each on sale in the Foyer of the Methodist Church from 2nd November Monday to Saturday 10.00am to 1.00pm. Enquiries 01326 316286
Come and join us on The Moor for a festive feast of street food, organized by the Cornish Street Food Collective. All of your favourite festive flavours with a street food twist. Music from the Salvation Army, Jumping out Jazz, and more.
Falmouth Tesco will be on The Moor with their biggest food bank yet, and will be accepting donations 9am-5pm.

Help save lives at sea this Christmas and come along to the RNLI Christmas Concert, with performances from Nankersey Male Voice Choir and Pendennis Brass Band.
Outlaw Christmas Market on The Moor showcases over 38 of the best artisan craft, food and drink producers from across Cornwall and Devon. Live music, crafty demonstrations, kid’s stuff, festive food and a whole lot more. The perfect place to do your Christmas shopping or get some inspiration! Squashbox Theatre’s show is a celebration of everything Christmassy, from fir trees, fairy lights, sleigh bells and snowflakes to crackers, carols, presents and puddings! Meet a snowman who lives in the fridge, try and spot some naughty elves, play hunt the Brussels sprout, endure the world’s worst Christmas jumper and gaze at the “beautiful” Christmas fairy…

Join us for a weekend of wintry wonders. Meet our Viking voyagers and discover how they celebrated the winter solstice. Thrill to tales of Frost Giants, take part in Scandinavian creative crafts and receive a traditional gift from
Old Man Winter.
Leaving Events Square and walking through to The Moor, stopping at various places for scenes to be acted out, the Live Nativity tells the story of Christmas with animals. The final scene will be played out on The Moor in a marquee with lots of animals from horses to goats, and a petting corner. Fun for all ages.
A special occasion the 10th and final year of the festival sees 38 trees which will be decorated by schools, churches, shops, charities, clubs and friends.

Come and join your favourite characters at Frozen in Falmouth! We have lots planned for the final late night shopping evening, including: Frozen characters, real life reindeer, children’s crafts, festive treats, Frozen castle, winter wonderland, puppet show and sing-along.
People of all ages are welcome to grab an outfit and join the fun (children to be accompanied by an adult). The Parade will gather outside of Brewery Yard at 12.45 and will parade from the Old High Street at 1.00pm, walking through the
town to Events Square accompanied by carnival music.

Back at The Poly for a 6th Glorious Year! Charlie and Toby are feeling low, and why wouldn’t they? It’s Christmas Day and they’re serving time at Her Majesty’s pleasure. But why shouldn’t they be having a Merry Christmas in spite of their incarceration? What’s stopping them from creating Christmas around them? Absolutely nothing! And so they set off on their festival of carols, Claus, Christ and custody.
Join them on a fantastical adventure through Dickens, pantomime, musical, Christmas dinner and Christmas films.

Join the 100-year-old Christmas Eve tradition of Harmony Choir. The choir will be leaving the Watersports Centre at 10.30am making their way through the town stopping to sing at Church Corner, Church Street car park and
Market Street, arriving at The Moor at approximately 1.00pm for the finale.
Coming to The Poly this Christmas is a brand new show from Canvas Theatre: The Star Child is a festive adaptation of the Oscar Wilde short story of the same name. A family friendly, magical show, this is a story set within the Golden
Age of Hollywood. Step back in time by arriving at the exciting spectacle of the
1930s “talkies”, and the glamour and excitement surrounding the new ‘stars of
Hollywood.’ A truly decadent Christmas treat.
