Christmas in Cornwall is a very special time, and in Falmouth we have a full schedule of Christmas activities for all the family! This events page is being constantly updated- below are our listings to date.

29th November
Lantern Making Workshop
Venue: Princess Pavilions, Falmouth, Cornwall
9.45am Registration 10.00am start. All day workshop.

Create your own illuminated lantern and be part of Falmouth’s Christmas parade on Thursday 3 December. Construct your willow withy lantern, with guidance from our experienced artist, to hold aloft through the streets. This in an all day workshop and all young children will need to be accompanied by an adult. Limited places available. £5 per lantern.


30th November- 24th DecemberFalmouth Santa Fun Run
Christmas Market at The Poly
Venue: The Poly, Falmouth, Cornwall
10.00 a.m. – 7.00 p.m., (10.00 a.m. – 8.00 p.m. on Thursdays)

The Poly’s annual Christmas Market will be running between the 30th November – 24th December (excluding Sundays), from 10.00 a.m. – 7.00 p.m. The market will feature local artisan makers and a range of quality gifts just in
time for Christmas.

Christmas Lights Switch On & Children’s Parade
Venue: Events Square, Falmouth, Cornwall
5.30pm start to The Moor

Expect singing from Falmouth’s schoolchildren, festivities, and a Lantern Parade arriving on The Moor from Events Square for the Pirate FM Lights Switch On at 7.00pm.

The children’s parade will be accompanied by Father Christmas, who will be touring the town by horse drawn carriage. On The Moor there will be a great selection of Christmas food and drink, with music from 5 local schools, The Salvation Army and Cornwall Rock Choir.

This is the first of our three late night shopping evenings when participating stores in the town will be open up until 8pm.


3rd 10th & 17th DecemberFalmouth, Cornwall
Christmas Market
Venue: Old Brewery yard, Falmouth, Cornwall
5.00pm until late.

Come and soak up the festive atmosphere in Old Brewery Yard on Falmouth’s High St from 5pm-late each Thursday of December for late night shopping. There will be everything from handmade goods, hot drinks and festive food, live music, vintage wares, books, records and many more Christmas gift ideas.

Christmas Street Food Fayre
Venue: The Moor, Falmouth, Cornwall

Come and join us on The Moor for a festive feast of street food, organized by the Cornish Street Food Collective. All of your favourite festive flavours with a street food twist. Music from the Salvation Army, Jumping out Jazz, and more.

Falmouth Tesco will be on The Moor with their biggest food bank yet, and will be accepting donations 9am-5pm.

Santa v Rudolf Fun Run

Sign up and get your free Santa/Rudolph suit to join hundreds of others walking, jogging or running through the town, starting at 1pm on The Moor.  Registration £10 for adults £5 for children in aid of Cornwall Hospice Care.

Live Nativity
Venue: Events Square to The Moor, Falmouth, Cornwall
Leaves Events Square at 1.30pm. Marquee on The Moor open from 12 noon.

Leaving Events Square and walking through to The Moor, stopping at various places for scenes to be acted out, the Live Nativity tells the story of Christmas with animals.  The final scene will be played out on The Moor in a marquee with lots of animals from horses to goats, and a petting corner. Fun for all ages.


14th – 31st Decembertree
Christmas Tree Festival
Venue: All Saints Church, Falmouth, Cornwall
Daily 10.00am – 7.00pm Sundays 2.00pm – 4.00pm (Closed 25th & 26th)

A special occasion the 10th and final year of the festival sees 38 trees which will be decorated by schools, churches, shops, charities, clubs and friends.

Back at The Poly for a 6th Glorious Year! Charlie and Toby are feeling low, and why wouldn’t they? It’s Christmas Day and they’re serving time at Her Majesty’s pleasure. But why shouldn’t they be having a Merry Christmas in spite of their incarceration? What’s stopping them from creating Christmas around them? Absolutely nothing! And so they set off on their festival of carols, Claus, Christ and custody.

Join them on a fantastical adventure through Dickens, pantomime, musical, Christmas dinner and Christmas films.

Join the 100-year-old Christmas Eve tradition of Harmony Choir. The choir will be leaving the Watersports Centre at 10.30am making their way through the town stopping to sing at Church Corner, Church Street car park and
Market Street, arriving at The Moor at approximately 1.00pm for the finale.

Coming to The Poly this Christmas is a brand new show from Canvas Theatre: The Star Child is a festive adaptation of the Oscar Wilde short story of the same name. A family friendly, magical show, this is a story set within the Golden

1930s “talkies”, and the glamour and excitement surrounding the new ‘stars of
