La Péniche is Falmouth’s vintage floating French barge restaurant B & B and restaurant. Our prime location and novel premises provide our guests with a unique and exciting experience. Our mooring against historic North Quay is nestled close to the Arwenack Street that leads through the town but is far enough away to thoroughly enjoy being part of the marina and away from the crowds.

We have 2 surprisingly large double suites, each with a different character but both in keeping with the comfort and amenities you would hope for in any bed & breakfast. We aim to combine nautical quirkiness with the comforts of home. Check us out on Air B & B.

Will you choose The Paris suite with its dramatic bed and bathroom big enough for wedding dress twirling (we are very popular with honeymooners!) or the Chalon, cosy and sweet? Either one and you will soon find yourself gazing dreamily through portholes and perhaps sharing a bottle of your favourite wine on the deck!

The award winning restaurant above closes at 10 p.m. Boats do creak and groan a little during the night but our Boatman is close to hand for reassurance and we always discuss health & safety as part of our checking in procedure.

SAFETY ADVISORY: Being on the water is an amazing experience but sadly due to health and safety considerations we are not suitable for everyone. Please discuss any mobility or other physical challenges with the owners before booking. We do not encourage bookings from those with young children.
