These wonderful excursions are firstly based around fun, excitement and pure adventure but are also educational in there make up. We explore this beautiful area searching for all its hidden secrets and stunning marine wildlife.

In winter, we offer a winter special trip that is only 2 hours long, no matter what the weather has to throw at us we can still offer a wonderful wildlife excursion that will always deliver something exciting and special for our varied guest. Due to the fact we have the two extremely sheltered and stunningly wildlife rich estuaries of the Fal and Helford rivers.

During the more settled periods of weather our 4 hour trips prove very popular as we head offshore searching for large aggregations of Common Dolphins. Also at this time of year we have the very best chance of sighting giant Fin Whales, the second largest animal on the planet after the mighty Blue Whale. A sight never to be forgotten if you are lucky enough to be on board when we find them.

From March through to October we offer our 3 hour and 4 hour excursions, also an all day 7hrs wildlife trip for the more dedicated naturalist. This not only allows us to cover a huge area from the Dodman Point in the East to the Lizard Point in the West (our area of operation). Calling in to the many quaint fishing villages along the coast in this beautiful area of Cornwall but it also allows us to spend more time interacting with the marvellous wildlife we find.Furthermore, this excursion along the coastline heading east or west, affords one excellent views of Cornwall’s dramatic, world renowned coastal path. For those who have an interest in various sailing boats, ships of the line, military vessels, and cruise liners, Falmouth has a great variety of the above to offer you. From its traditional working boats, to modern huge visiting cruise liners, AK Wildlife Cruises makes the most out of viewing these vessels.

Our boat is a wonderfully appointed Aquabell 33 with flybridge fully licensed and insured. We have a cosy heated cabin that has seating for everyone on those colder winter days. Also seating outside on the lower deck for all and seating up on the flybridge where you can sit for excellent viewing and sightings.

AK Wildlife Cruises is a family based company and we love taking out small intimate groups twelve months of the year to see this part of Cornwall and the glorious coastline and marine wildlife that is on offer. There is a wonderful diversity of wildlife on offer through the twelve months of the year.

We have three peregrine falcon cliff nest sights that we visit and view on every trip out. There is also a vast diversity of different sea birds that can be seen throughout the year.

There are no two excursions the same and one never really knows what you will see next, as anything including killer whales can pass through this area any month of the year.
