Queen Mary Gardens

Peaceful, relaxing gardens laid out in a formal style and framed by Monterey Pines.

About

The gardens are located directly behind Gyllyngvase Beach and provide a perfect retreat from the energy and excitement of Falmouth’s award winning beach. They were opened in 1912 to commemorate the coronation of Queen Mary, the wife of George V.

The gardens are renowned for the proliferation of sub tropical species that thrive in Cornwall’s milder climate and these include Gunnera, Proteas, Agapanthus and Echium.
