Falmouth Flotilla

The Falmouth Flotilla event on Thursday 6th June 2024 will commemorate the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings in Normandy.

About

The 80 boat flotilla organised by Falmouth Town Council, Falmouth Business Improvement District, Falmouth Harbour, and the Port of Truro recognises the largest seaborne invasion in history and honours the service and sacrifice of the Allied Forces troops.

Many Allied Forces troops were stationed in and around Falmouth during World War II and the flotilla will travel past some of these locations along the River Fal. The fleet of vessels will leave from the area adjacent to Tolverne, North of the King Harry ferry, at 15.00 and make their way down the channel of the Carrick Roads, before finishing off Gyllyngvase Beach (weather permitting).

The Falmouth Flotilla event is open to all local boat owners. To find out more information, including the various terms and conditions for participation, and to register your vessel, click the following link: Falmouth Flotilla.

Any vessels wishing to take part will need to upload a copy of their insurance using the above link. You will be unable to participate if you do not provide the relevant documentation.
