Christmas Tree Festival
3RD DEC - 2ND JAN. Join in the Festival celebrations with carol singing as all the Christmas trees decorated by community groups in Falmouth are lit up.
About
The Grand Switch-on event for the Falmouth Christmas Tree Festival, kindly sponsored by A&P Falmouth, starts at 5:30 pm with Choir singing on the bandstand, followed by the light switch on by A&P apprentices, accompanied by The Mayor of Falmouth, Kirstie Edwards, at 6pm.
A free Brass Band Carol Concert in The Garden Room will follow from 6.15pm – 7.30pm to complete the evening’s entertainment with the bar open, serving drinks, mince pies, hot chocolate and mulled cider.
Twenty-seven community groups from in and around Falmouth are each decorating a tree with the theme of ‘Peace and Joy’.
The ‘Tree of Wishes’ will again be available for people to remember loved ones or make a wish for the future. All donations will go to the charity The Children’s Sailing Trust
The tress will be open to view until 2nd January so if you can’t make the grand switch on, you can still go and view the trees!
