Guest curator of SURF! Dr Sam Bleakley starts the series with a lecture that goes behind the scenes of his journey curating SURF! and gathering over 100 Cornish surfboards spanning 100 years of waveriding history.
In ‘Beyond the Break: Lucia Griggi’s Journey as a Global Surf Photographer’ Lucia Griggi shares her incredible journey from the rugged shores of Cornwall to becoming one of the world’s most renowned female surf photographers.
Finally, Join Chris Hines, Co-Founder and former Director of Surfers Against Sewage, as he explores the origins and campaigning of the marine conservation charity from 1990 through to 2000. From the beaches to the corridors of power, Chris will reflect on where surfing sits 35 years on and present the dilemmas that we all face in relation to the planet and the population.
