Oggies Cornish Kitchen

Located on Arwenack Street in the middle of the town centre is Oggies Cornish Kitchen, providing a fantastic offering of traditional Cornish food with a modern twist. The store is run by Rebecca Frankiss, originally from Canada, and her husband John. Fourteen years ago, they had their first date, fell in love and were married in the space of twelve weeks, brought together by a love of sea and food.

Oggies Cornish Kitchen offers a delicious selection of traditional Cornish pasties, as well as some non-traditional ones, such as Apple and Blackcurrant, Bombay Potato Vegan, and Butternut Squash and Vegan Feta. They also provide a great variety of fresh sandwiches, sweet pastries and light soups.

Co-owner – Rebecca Frankiss – says, “We think it is absolutely fantastic that the G7 is being held in Cornwall as it presents an opportunity to shine a light on the county’s natural heritage, cultural history and innovative people. Falmouth is small enough to be sociable but large enough to be dynamic, and for us locals, this is the epitome of life balance. We wish all visitors a big welcome and hope they fall in love as much as we have.”

Smiley and welcoming staff, this is Alice Lee from ConstantineRebecca Frankiss, originally from Canada, and her daughter Ruth. John and Rebecca occasionally have their children ‘help’ them out in the shop. This is their son Adam. The artwork in the background was created by Caitlin Blight-Anderson (from the Lizard).
