Culture, colour and entrepreneurial cunning in concentrate. The aromas, the sense of organised chaos, the new vying for attention with the old.
About
A trifle bazaar was borne out of a desire to create a flamboyant, erotic and abundant retail space.
“An antidote to beige and grey: I covet maximal style and clashing colour. I wanted to offer women ( and a few boys) artisans the chance to exhibit their work free of greedy and dictatorial terms. I also felt it was time to resurrect the ‘nearly new’ shop alongside true vintage. Fast fashion and online giants had reduced the above to smoking wrecks. An increased emphasis on sustainability informed me that the time was right. I taught myself to make candles after failing to find what I wanted, now I’m addicted. I love using colour and wanted to extend this to candle making to the maximum. I hope you find something you like, happy shopping!”
