Buses

Bus Tickets
There are many ways to save money on standard bus fares, the return ticket being the most obvious. All operators offer reductions for children, toddlers usually being able to travel free of charge (under 5s or under 3s, depending on the operator).

Each bus company has its own special money saving tickets and here are just a few of the offers available:

Falmouth Shuttle Bus
The Falmouth Town Shuttle Bus links the car parks and Falmouth’s Town railway station on the eastern edge of the town with the main streets and attractions. Operating from Monday to Saturday, the Minibus departs every 20 minutes from the Quarry car park (entrance) running via The Moor (for Town Hall, Library, Art Gallery and Piazza with Packet Memorial) before moving onto the Dell car park, Woodlane (University) and Killigrew St..

Concession Card Holders travel free, and the good news is that the fare is £1 - a flat rate with “Hop On ~ Hop Off” as often as you like.

Trains

The Maritime Line
Connecting Truro to Falmouth the 12 mile, 25 minute journey along The Maritime Line provides the perfect way to combine two of Cornwall's main centres.

Start in the county city of Truro, with its cobbled shopping area, three spired Cathedral, magnificent Georgian and Regency buildings and the Royal Cornwall Museum.

The Maritime Line then sweeps down over the spectacular Perranwell viaduct to Falmouth harbour, where Pendennis and St. Mawes castles stand guard over the Fal estuary, with good views of the harbour from the train around Penryn.

There are two trains per hour operating.
