Falmouth Creates

Falmouth Creates is a collaborative initiative led by the Falmouth Business Improvement District (BID). It serves as a dynamic platform to facilitate, organise, and support a diverse calendar of festivals and events that celebrate and promote Falmouth’s vibrant creative sector.

During previous years, Falmouth Creates has supported a wide range of events including:

  • WanderFAL – A grassroots music festival
  • Cringe Comedy Festival – The first comedy festival of its kind in the South West
  • Falmouth Food Festival – Local food & drink producers, musicians, craft makers and artists
  • Falmouth Book Festival – Bringing internationally renowned names to Falmouth
  • FiaFEST – A programme of theatre, film, music, dance and workshops
  • FORM Art Festival – Captivating events such as talks, workshops and exhibitions
  • Cornwall Film Festival – Feature films from around the globe.
  • 99p Films – Bringing people together through the power of documentary cinema

The Falmouth Creates initiative aims to have a positive social and economic impact throughout the year. By supporting a diverse array of events, it fosters community engagement, attracts visitors, and provides a platform for local talent to shine. This collaborative approach enhances Falmouth’s reputation as a hub for creativity and cultural expression.

From 2026, the scheme will operate differently. Rather than each event receiving the same set funding, applicants can now apply for grants of between £500 and £2,000, plus a tailored package of marketing support. This allows us to welcome new events while continuing to nurture existing ones, making sure that support is distributed fairly and delivers the greatest benefit to the town.

Please read and follow the accompanying Funding Guidance Notes when completing your application. The deadline for 26/27 applications is Monday 5th January 2026.
